‘The Straits Adventure’
A journey from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur ‘The Straits Adventure’ took our intrepid explorers on a breathtaking photographic journey to capture the beauty of historical and iconic landmarks in Singapore and Malaysia.
Our voyagers’ first stop was Shenton Way capturing the fast pace everyday life of local Singaporeans, followed by a visit to Fort Canning Hill to soak up Singapore’s colonial history. The day was topped off with dinner at Jumbo Seafood Riverside Point to sample Singapore’s famous Chilli Crab – a hit with all the gang!
On day two the group headed to Kota Tinggi to bask in the beauty of the waterfalls and snap some shots of the majestic landscape. Check out Sabrina captured on the edge of the river...
On the third day our friends took shots of modern day Kuala Lumpur with cutting edge snaps of the city’s famous Twin Towers. Dinner at Qba Westin was warmly welcomed after a busy few days exploring. Our resident foodie blogger on the trip, Daniel Goh confirmed; ‘The Macallan 15 Years Old Fine Oak pairs beautifully with Chinese style wok-fried pork ribs, it brings out the sweet caramel notes of the whisky’. Sounds mouth wateringly delicious to us, why not try it out for yourself?
The final stop on this adventure took our guests to Zebra Square in Kuala Lumpur, where Elliott Erwitt and The Macallan’s own Ken Grier formally unveiled The Macallan Masters of Photography: Elliott Erwitt Edition. Along with Elliott’s 58 images captured on his Scottish Adventure Daniel Goh, Chong Yew, How Hwee Young and Sabrina Van Cleef Ault exhibited their shots captured throughout their own adventure creating a fascinating comparison of Asian and Scottish culture.
