EXPERIENCES ON THE MACALLAN ESTATE
The Macallan Estate offers a range of bookable experiences. Led by our expert team, they give insight to the dedication, craft and passion that goes into every bottle of The Macallan.
Please note, The Macallan Distillery is not suitable for children. Guests must be over the age of 18 years old to participate in our experiences. The Macallan Bar and the first floor is open to guests over the age of 18 only; we operate a Challenge 25 policy, please remember to bring ID.
The Mastery Experience
You will then be invited to The Macallan Bar to experience a Macallan whisky flight. After your experience, our hosts will be available to offer a personal shopping experience in The Macallan Boutique. Guests will each receive a glass to commemorate their visit.
Price: £250.00 per person
Duration: 4 hours
Frequency: Thursdays-Sundays until 31st May 2023.
The Discovery Experience
You will then be led by one of our friendly and knowledgeable hosts through the Distillery experience, including a guided tour of our iconic Cave Priveé for a tutored tasting of some carefully selected Macallan whiskies, before visiting The Macallan Bar for a final whisky experience.

Bar and Boutique Experiences
The Story of Oak
After your tasting you are welcome to soak up the views over Speyside and linger with a dram or cocktail from our extensive list. This is one of three The Macallan Bar experiences.

Time: 10:30 each day

The Curated Collection
After your tutored tasting, you are welcome to stay a while longer soaking up the majestic views of Speyside. Our bar will be open for you to make purchases from our extensive whisky menu or try one of our handcrafted cocktails. This is one of three The Macallan Bar experiences.

The Boutique Experience
This experience includes an introduction to The Macallan Lifestyle Collection, a selection of bar and homeware, outdoor and travel apparel and bespoke art and stationery. Tea, coffee or soft beverage refreshments are provided as part of this experience. To avoid disappointment please book in advance of your planned visit.

Distillery Experience FAQs
General Experience Information
All guests visiting The Macallan Estate are by appointment only. This extends across all experiences and Elchies Brasserie, as well as The Macallan Boutique and The Macallan Bar. This enables us to ensure we can provide the best experiences for all our guests.

Q: I’m looking to book a visit later in the year but cannot see any available dates?
A: For operational reasons our bookings system shows availability a maximum of three months in advance at any given time. Depending on when you view the site, it may only show two months ahead. Please revisit our website nearer the time to make your reservation.
Q: Do I need to make separate bookings to visit Elchies Brasserie, The Macallan Bar and The Boutique?
A: You do not. Guests who have a brasserie, bar or boutique booking will also be able to visit the other areas. Please note this is subject to availability.
Q: How many people can I bring with me for a bar booking and a boutique booking?
A: We can accept bookings of up to eight guests per bar experience and two for the boutique experience.
Q: Should I book an experience in advance?
A: We only accept advance bookings. We ask for 24 hours’ notice for all our experiences.

Q: What days can I book a visit?
A: We accept bookings from Thursday-Sunday. No bookings are offered Monday-Wednesday, as these days are for private and bespoke experiences and events.
Q: What about non-drinkers?
A: Non-drinkers are welcome in The Macallan Bar. We have a range of non-alcoholic drinks available for those not wishing to partake in a tasting experience.
Q: Do you require a deposit for The Macallan Bar and The Boutique bookings?
A: No deposit is required for The Boutique; simply make your reservation using our online booking system.
A £10 per person deposit is required for The Macallan Bar Experiences.
Q: Is there a waiting list in case of cancellations?
A: We are now offering an increased number of opportunities to visit The Macallan Distillery but appreciate that at many times of the year demand for experiences is extremely high. We do not have a waiting list.
Q: I’m a tour operator. Can I take my party to The Macallan Bar and Boutique?
A: Yes, remember that all experiences must be pre-booked prior to arrival, including The Macallan Bar and The Boutique. Please ensure that you provide the correct number of guests in the party.
Q: What if I would like to visit the grounds or the graveyard at The Macallan Estate?

Q: Will there be any public open days or other events taking place at The Macallan Estate?
A: In addition to booking time to enjoy distillery, bar, brasserie and boutique experiences, some special events are being planned. We look forward to sharing more information soon.
Q: How do I find out about upcoming events and experiences at The Macallan
Distillery?
A: The best way to keep up to date with news and developments relating to The Macallan is through The Macallan Society. Join The Macallan Society by using the subscribe button at the bottom of this page.
Q: I’d like to visit The Macallan Distillery for its architecture, how can I arrange
this?
A: What better way to enjoy the beauty of the distillery than by sitting within it and enjoying a dram at The Macallan Bar? Bar bookings can be made on our Book Experiences page.
Q: I wish to visit The Boutique to purchase a gift, do I need to book an appointment?
A: The bookings policy for all our Experiences at the distillery, includes The Macallan Bar, Elchies Brasserie and The Boutique. A member of our team will be able to support the purchasing of the perfect gift for the perfect occasion. Please make your booking here.

Restrictions
Q: Are there age restrictions?
A: Guests must be over the age of 18 years old to participate in our experiences. Guests of all ages are permitted in the building, including The Elchies Brasserie and The Macallan Boutique. The Macallan Bar is open to guests over the age of 18; we operate a Challenge 25 policy, please remember to bring ID.
Q: Are guests allowed to take photographs?
A: Yes, with some exceptions. Your Host will explain to guests about a couple of restrictions that are in place within production.
