First appearing in a recipe book in 1747, we’ve taken inspiration from the flavours of this relic from times past. Bringing together the dried fruits and spices, twisting them into an old fashioned styled cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 20ml cinnamon, juniper, and star anise syrup
  • Couple dashes of orange bitters 
  • Couple dashes of Angostura bitters
  • 50ml The Macallan Lumina
  • Dehydrated plum slice, for garnish

Method

Add to mixing glass: 

  • 20ml cinnamon, juniper, and star anise syrup
  • Couple dashes of orange bitters and Angostura bitters
  • 50ml The Macallan Lumina
  • Fill mixing glass with ice then stir for 20 seconds
  • Single strain into rocks glass over ice
  • Garnish with a dehydrated plum slice
