Mark Rooney, Beverage and Food Manager
Mark joined The Macallan Visitor Experience team in January 2018. Mark is the Beverage and Food Manager, which includes running the incredible Vault Bar and leading a team of 5 bartenders.
Mark and his team were involved in one of the more intense bar training programs put together in Scotland in advance of the opening of our new Visitor Experience, learning new bar skills, brand knowledge and creating fresh cocktail ideas.
Mark has had extensive experience working in restaurants and hotels across the UK for the past 13 years. This included 5 years in the heart of London during which he was part of the team opening Jamie Oliver's Barbecoa, a new concept restaurant in St Paul's Cathedral.
My favourite Macallan whisky is the Sherry Oak 25 Years Old. To me, this whisky is not only my favourite but trying it for the first time is also a memory I'll never forget.Mark Rooney, Beverage and Food Manager
