Easter Elchies Black captures the timeless luxury of The Macallan’s spiritual home on the Estate on Speyside, Easter Elchies House. Overlooking the dark silent warehouses where our peerless spirit slowly matures in exceptional oak casks, Easter Elchies House is synonymous with the exclusive character of The Macallan. One of our Six Pillars, it stands at the heart of The Macallan Estate as testament to the timeless luxury that has characterised Speyside’s finest single malt since 1824. Built in 1700 from locally quarried sandstone, Easter Elchies House is a unique Scottish-styled home with crow-stepped gables and turret.

Aromas of fresh green apples, toffee, lemon and orange citrus, and a soft sweet peat smoke finish come to the fore with The Macallan Easter Elchies Black reflecting the welcoming warmth and luxurious experience found in both the home of The Macallan and the spirit itself.

The Experience

    Golden honey.

    Fresh green apples, toffee, lemon and orange citrus. Subtle hints of peat smoke with cardamom and liquorice.

Sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of the Master of Wood, the hand-picked casks are delivered to the demanding specifications of the Whisky Mastery Team. It is the oak that makes the greatest contribution to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours at the heart of this single malt whisky.

Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for the necessary number of years it needs to be worthy of its destined Macallan expression.
