Nearly half a million people attend the Woodstock music festival on a 600 acre farm in New York State. The Boeing 747 ‘jumbo jet’ is flown for the first time in the US, while the Rolling Stones release the album ‘Let It Bleed’. On November 19th, four months after Apollo 11, Americans Charles Conrad and Alan Bean of Apollo 12 become the third and fourth humans to walk on the moon.
