Delivery - General Information
The Macallan Online Shop sells both whisky and associated merchandise products.
We are offering complimentary shipping on selected products for orders over £150.00.
Please note, complimentary shipping is not available for limited release products sold through The Macallan ballot process and personal invitations.
Standard delivery times are up to 5 working days for UK delivery, up to 10 working days for EU delivery and up to 14 working days for the rest of the world delivery. We are temporarily unable to offer next day delivery for orders to UK mainland addresses, placed before 13:00 Monday to Friday.
We are now offering a contactless delivery service. Our couriers are (temporarily) able to offer a non-contact alternative to any customer who does not wish to sign via the scanner screen. In addition, hand and scanner sanitization is performed before and after each customer interaction (Shipment Delivery or Pick-Up).
Whisky
We can currently send all whiskies sold on the Shop to the locations listed below.
Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, the UK and the Channel Islands.
The full list of countries is shown as you check out. If a product is unavailable for delivery to your country it will be removed from your basket.
Shipping costs are based on country and basket contents and can be viewed at the point of purchase within your shopping basket.
Please be aware DHL will require local contact information for delivery. As such, if you are placing the order as a gift, please enter the recipient’s local contact information at the checkout to facilitate this.
Following Brexit, customs may require to get in touch with the recipient to confirm the contents of the order and verify that the order is for personal consumption.
For deliveries to Spain
We can still send orders to Spain upon request using an Express Service with DHL, however UK VAT will not be charged on the order. The cost of shipping via DHL Express is as follows:
>3kg = £35.00
>4.5kg = £40.00
>6.5kg = £48.00
>10kg = £57.00
Local sales taxes and duties will be payable upon arrival in your delivery location, which are levied at the time the package clears customs. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, The Macallan has no control over these charges. Please contact your local customs office for further information. We also cannot refund any customs charges in the case of a return or refund.
All orders must be placed through our consumer service team at [email protected] with the subject header “Delivery to Spain” with your name, contact telephone number, delivery address and product name with quantity.
Please note we cannot include any consumer from Spain in the ballots due to the difficulty in shipping into Spain resulting from Brexit.

We can send The Macallan Merchandise to all of the above locations as well as those listed below.

Delivery Rates
We are currently offering complimentary shipping on selected orders above £150.00.
The delivery cost depends on your selected delivery location and the weight of your order. The delivery cost will be calculated for you during the check-out process. The table below will give you an estimate of these costs.
Within 1 working day of placing your order you will receive a confirmation of your order by email along with your purchase reference number. This number should be retained for future reference. You will then receive an email or SMS message from our designated delivery partner when your order is out for shipment.
The delivery cost depends on your selected delivery country and the weight of your order. The delivery cost will be calculated for you during the check-out process.

For all deliveries outside of the EU, UK VAT will not be charged. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, The Macallan Shop has no control over these charges. Delivery Instructions And Advice
Deliveries are made during business hours on Monday to Friday; to ensure prompt delivery someone must be present to sign for the parcel. If no-one is available to sign for the parcel, our delivery company will leave a contact card with instructions for customer to call their local depot. If the customer does not then call their local depot, the parcel is returned to us after a week – the cost of which will be passed on to the customer.
If customer does give permission to the courier for the order parcel to be left in a safe place, The Macallan will not be liable in the event the parcel goes missing and cannot be located. The Macallan will not be able to refund or replace the order.
The courier appointed by The Macallan and Mail Marketing is non-negotiable.
All whiskies sold by The Macallan Online Shop are sold subject to UK taxes. If we are exporting products to an address in the European Union (EU) prices are subject to the appropriate rate of tax depending on the delivery country (and an alcohol tax ).

Gift Messages
Please be informed we do not permit gift messaging that could be seen as offensive or obscene. Should your gift message be deemed unacceptable, we will contact you for the opportunity to provide an alternative message.
