私たちは、1824年にThe Macallanが私たちのエステートに設立されて以来、地元スペイサイドのコミュニティと強いつながりを持っています。私たちが世界的なプレゼンスを持つローカルブランドとして成長できたのは、地元スコットランドと世界各地で私たちを支えてくれた素晴らしいコミュニティのおかげです。

2020年、ザ・マッカランは「ギビング・バック」プログラムを通じて、「ザ・レッド・コレクション」（希少なシングルモルトのクラシックな熟成コレクション）のフルセットを「シティ・ハーベスト・ロンドン」に寄贈し、食品業界の余剰品をロンドン中の弱者に再分配するフード・チャリティへの資金調達を行いました。

サザビーズが実施したオークションでは、756,400ポンドを集め、その収益で約250万食の食事を必要としている人々に提供することが期待されています。2021年には、さらに2回の「Giving Back」チャリティオークションを開催し、2021年に選ばれた寄付先のチャリティパートナーのために、達成された資金の詳細を共有します。

The Macallan holds a deep affinity with artisans and master makers. As contemporary creators, designers, and craftspeople what unites us all is the value that we place on provenance and our infinite passion for finding innovative ways to keep traditional crafts and generational skills alive.  Through our work we are fortunate to collaborate with an incredible network of artisans who support us each year in realising our vision of creating beautifully distinctive product and accessory experiences and compelling, creative storytelling.

At The Macallan, our quest to seek out likeminded artisan collaborators is constant.  Through The Macallan Artisan Collective, we hope to create a place in which we can not only nurture our existing artisan relationships, but also welcome new, future collaborators.

Realising our commitment to invest in our key communities and skills, The Macallan Artisan Collective was established in 2021 as a creative community for our Artisan peers and a forum for likeminded master makers to meet, innovate and collaborate supported by twice yearly events allowing us to network and exchange knowledge and ideas so that we may all learn and develop together.

Announcing The Macallan Artisan Apprenticeship Fund

The Macallan aims to champion and celebrate the Artisan, their philosophies, knowledge, skills and their critical role in our local and global economies.   In 2021, we announced the creation of The Macallan Artisan Apprenticeship Fund to recognise the need to cherish, preserve and perpetuate legacy crafts, trades, skills and values, ensuring employment for generations to come.
 

The Macallan will award and fund two separate apprenticeship roles period of 3 years so that each recipient artisan business may confidently commit to the employment of an apprentice for the recognised time required to learn a master trade.  Applications and criteria for businesses wishing to be considered for The Macallan Artisan Apprenticeship Fund will be shared in further announcements in Spring 2022.
