Steve McCurry has been one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography for more than 30 years, with scores of magazine and book covers, over a dozen books, and countless exhibitions around the world to his name.
Journey with him as he traces our journey of The Macallan cask from its origins in the forests of America and Europe, through the cooperages and Bodegas of Spain, and to our distillery in Speyside, Scotland. There the casks meet our new make spirit and are patiently matured until they are harmoniously united to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.

To create Double Cask, we bring new oak from America across thousands of miles to Spain, where casks are crafted and sherry seasoned before travelling to the distillery on Speyside to mature. These whiskies are then harmoniously united with those aged in the very best European sherry seasoned oak casks.
Telling the story of a journey that brings together different worlds, this union reveals an unmatched investment in time and extraordinary commitment to mastery for which The Macallan has been known since 1824.
