The Macallan in Lalique
The Macallan in Lalique Collection brings together the undisputed Masters of Crystal with the supreme Masters of Spirit and Wood.
The Macallan and Lalique partnership has grown out of a shared belief in the value of craftsmanship, artistry and a pursuit of perfection. Both iconic brands were shaped by visionaries who believed that whisky and crystal making were art forms that should inspire, rather than merely a production process which could be reduced to logic and machines.
Masters of Spirit and Wood
Roderick Kemp, the architect of The Macallan’s rise to prominence, committed himself to creating the most sublime whisky, seeking out the best ingredients and rigorously applying best practice to ensure the finest quality, whatever the cost. This legacy has been passed down through generations and is encapsulated today in the dedication and expertise of The Macallan’s Masters of Spirit and Wood.
Masters of Crystal
Rene Lalique, the founder and artistic soul of Lalique, viewed jewellery and glass making as an art form of sculpture that should be tactile and sensual. His son, Marc Lalique, continued to pioneer this vision by perfecting revolutionary methods of crystal making to best realise the light and form of these ‘objet d’arts’. This creative spirit and dedication to beauty remains the guiding philosophy behind all Lalique’s pieces.
