The Spirit of 1926 captures the courageous tale of Janet 'Nettie' Harbinson who crafted what would become the most valuable bottle of wine or spirit ever sold at auction.
Nettie was an automotive enthusiast and sourcing a car befitting her character was integral to The Spirit of 1926 film production. Our partner Bentley Motors generously provided a Bentley Speed Six from their Heritage Collection, one of the marque's most iconic pre-war vehicles. The Speed Six was the most successful Bentley of its era and helped to authentically bring Nettie’s story to life.

The Bentley Speed Six was a car that was designed for racing, with aluminium, pistons, two spark plugs per cylinder, an overhead camshaft and four valves per cylinder. It was celebrated as the super car of its day, and is a remarkable classic that has left a mark in automotive history with its timeless design and powerful performance. A true embodiment of Bentley's craftsmanship and attention to detail, the Speed Six Continuation Series seamlessly blends the heritage of the original 1920s Speed Six with modern engineering prowess.
