    The Beatles release their 12th and final album ‘Let It Be’ and the National Westminster Bank began trading in the UK. New publications in the world of literature included James Dickey’s ‘Deliverance’, and ‘Love Story’, by classics professor-turned-writer Erich Segal. A total of 126 runners showed up for the very first New York Marathon. The first Glastonbury Festival was also held.
