These exceptional casks are carefully identified and selected by our Whisky Mastery Team as exemplars of this distinctive character.
The unique, naturally present yet rarely found sweet raisin flavour imparted by European oak is incredibly elusive, delivering a rich, satisfying, velvet finish. This distinct, intense raisin character can only be revealed through the repeated assessment of every cask over the course of its lifetime.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Soft notes of rich raisin on the nose are joined by a gentle lift of fresh apple, lemon and orange. On the palate, intense sweet raisin dominates, vanilla and dark chocolate unfold with a touch of light lemon zest. The enduring, velvet finish settles into a prolonged, satisfying smoothness.

The dark yet luminous depth of colour is entirely natural, and its unique flavour is achieved through long maturation in predominantly sherry seasoned European oak casks. Approximately eighty percent of the flavour profile is attributable to our signature use of these exceptional oak casks, seasoned with the finest sherry wines from Jerez de la Frontera.
