Inside

Anecdotes of Ages

A limited-release whisky and art collection with renowned British pop artist, Sir Peter Blake. Our third collaboration in a partnership spanning almost four decades, this collection celebrates the legacy and history of Sir Peter Blake and The Macallan.

The collection consists of 13 one-of-a-kind bottles of exceptional 1967 whisky, chosen for its classic yet distinctly colorful character and representative of the year that Sir Peter Blake’s collage style transcended the art world into pop culture.

Each bottle features its own distinct original collage art on the label, and uniquely captures stories from our history, community, and the beautiful natural landscape of The Macallan Estate.

An Estate, A Community and A Distillery

A specially created whisky to commemorate Sir Peter Blake’s visit to The Macallan Estate on the legendary River Spey - An Estate, A Community, and A Distillery - has been created in a custom box, and includes a collage scroll with Sir Peter Blake's digitally printed artwork.

I am deeply inspired by the incredible legacy of The Macallan, and its emphasis on family, tradition, and the natural world.

Time and Craft

Every collage represents a respect for time and craft, two essential components of both The Macallan and Sir Peter Blake's creative process. The collection is a distinct celebration of art and whisky.

Each of the 13 original Anecdotes of Ages bottles of whisky are hand-blown with an oak stopper, and feature a label signed by Sir Peter Blake, accompanied by a leather-bound book showcasing all 13 label artworks and corresponding stories from our history.

While the original bottle of 'Down to Work' will be kept in The Macallan archive, it has been replicated for Anecdotes of Ages Collection: Down to Work Limited Edition.
