The Old Fashioned
The Old Fashioned is known for being the first cocktail, formally recognised in 1806. Described as a "concoction of spirit, bitters, water, and sugar," this classic serve has remained a firm favourite worldwide due to its simplicity, which allows the spirit to truly shine.
We have elevated this traditional recipe with the addition of The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, a rounded single malt in perfect balance, with flavours of honey, citrus and ginger.
The Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
1 Sugar cube
2 dashes orange bitters
Clear ice
Garnish - orange twist
Method:
Combine sugar bitters and The Macallan into a mixing glass.
Stir over ice until chilled and strain into a rocks glass over a clear block of ice.
Garnish with an orange twist.
