Delivery and Returns

Our standard delivery times are up to 2 working days for UK delivery, up to 7 working days for EU delivery and up to 14 working days for the rest of the world delivery. However please note that delivery times may vary depending on the type of product being purchased, busy periods and public holidays. When will my delivery arrive?

The delivery cost depends on your selected delivery country and the weight of your order. The delivery cost for your order will be calculated for you during the checkout process.&nbsp;For deliveries to Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland, UK VAT will not be charged. These markets operate as DAP (Delivered at Place). However, your order may be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in your chosen delivery location, which are levied at the time the package clears customs. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, The Macallan Shop has no control over these charges. Please contact your local customs office for further information. We also cannot refund any customs charges in the case of a return or refund.&nbsp;For deliveries to all other EU countries, we have arranged for your order to be delivered as a DDP (Deliver Duty Paid) order. We bear all risk and costs associated with delivering goods to the named place of destination. We have arranged for your taxes to be billed back to The Macallan. Please do not pay them if asked by the courier or customs.  Once cleared, your order will be released for delivery.&nbsp;If you are purchasing for delivery in the USA all delivery options will be displayed at check out. How much does delivery cost? 

We currently offer delivery of our whiskies and lifestyle products to a number of international destinations including Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK and the Channel Islands.&nbsp;Please note that if you proceed to checkout with a product that is unavailable for delivery to your location, it will be removed from your basket.&nbsp;

Where do you deliver to?

We currently provide shipping to a select number of locations and are continually working to expand the range of locations we deliver to.&nbsp;

Why is The Macallan whisky not available for delivery to my location?  

You can return your purchase for 14 days from the day after you receive it. If you would like to return your purchase, please contact us on <a href="mailto:shop@themacallan.com">shop@themacallan.com</a> with details of your order and a copy of your receipt within this time. Once you have notified us of your intent to cancel, please return the product to our delivery partner within 14 days for a full refund. Please refer to full details of our <a href="https://www.themacallan.com/en/terms-conditions-of-sale">Terms and Conditions of Sale</a> if required.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What is your returns policy if I change my mind about my purchase? 

If, upon delivery of your order, the goods are damaged or incorrect, please email your order number and proof of damage to <a href="mailto:shop@themacallan.com">shop@themacallan.com</a>. Please provide as much information as possible in the email to enable us to handle your enquiry as quickly as possible. What is your returns policy for online orders which are damaged or incorrect? 

Yes, the cost of returning the product is your responsibility.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Do I need to pay for the return costs myself? 

We arrange all refunds and reimbursements within 14 days of our acceptance to do so and after the safe receipt of the returned goods. Refunds are made using the same payment method used to make the original purchase. Please note that card refunds can take up to 10 business days to be processed by your bank and this varies greatly between card issuers.&nbsp;

If I return an item, how long will it take for me to receive a refund?

At The Macallan, we work closely with our partners to ensure our whiskies are available to buy in exclusive retailers within major cities and key destinations around the world, and our single malt can also be enjoyed in selected bars and restaurants across the globe.&nbsp;You can also visit our state-of-the-art Distillery Experience at The Macallan Estate in Speyside, Scotland, our Online Boutiques and The Macallan Boutiques in locations around the world to explore the extensive range of expressions available directly from The Macallan.&nbsp;&nbsp;All our whiskies are subject to availability and so we are unable to confirm specific expressions currently available in The Macallan Boutiques.&nbsp;&nbsp;

However, we do have an extensive range of single malt whiskies available to buy online, as well as a luxurious Lifestyle Collection which features a coveted selection of glassware, tableware and cocktail apparatus; apparel, distinct outdoor and travel pieces; and bespoke art, stationery, dining and fragrance accessories which offer an assortment of gifts for whisky lovers.&nbsp;

I have placed an order but have not received a confirmation email, have you received my order? 

While we aim to hold all items featured on The Macallan Online Boutique in stock, there are occasions when, due to high demand, we sell out of certain items. Should this occur while processing your order we will contact you by email to give you the opportunity to select an alternative item, to cancel the item from your order, or, where applicable, to wait for the product to come back into stock.&nbsp;

What happens if an item I order is out of stock?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer this service. Alternatively, we recommend that you check the website regularly and you can also join <a href="https://www.themacallan.com/en/the-macallan-society">The Macallan Society</a>, where as a member, you will be kept updated about our distillery, our whiskies and our people and will receive news on exclusive experiences. You will also gain priority access to select whisky releases, My Macallan Journey, special recommendations and content tailored for you.&nbsp;

Can The Macallan notify me when an item comes back into stock? 

We do not currently offer the facility to change your order, however you can cancel your order if you inform us before it has been dispatched and place a new order.&nbsp;&nbsp;If your order has already been dispatched, you can return your purchase for 14 days from the day after you receive it. If you would like to return your purchase, please contact us on <a href="mailto:shop@themacallan.com">shop@themacallan.com</a> with details of your order and a copy of your receipt within this time. Once you have notified us of your intent to cancel, please return the product to our delivery partner within 14 days for a full refund. Can I change my order? 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept payment by phone.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Yes. When placing your order please enter the name and address of the person you would like us to ship to in the 'Shipping Address’ section.&nbsp;

Can I provide a different shipping and billing address? 

Payment for our products can be made using one of the following credit/debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit and American Express. Your credit/debit card details will be transmitted securely and please note, payment will be taken at the point of purchase.&nbsp;The Macallan reserves the right to alter the prices of our products on offer online at any time without prior notice. However, the total price quoted will not change after your order has been acknowledged and that price includes VAT, packaging and delivery to the address provided in the order form.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What payment methods do you accept?

No, there is no minimum order.&nbsp;

Is there a minimum order?

All our whiskies and lifestyle products are placed in protective packaging composed of FSC approved corrugate materials which are 100% recyclable. Some expressions may also contain foam to provide further protection.&nbsp;&nbsp;

How will my order be packaged? 

Yes, there is an option to include a complimentary gift message with your order at checkout. The message will be printed on a Macallan gift card with a 200-character limit.&nbsp;

Can I include a gift message with my order? 

We do not currently offer the option to add a gift box for orders placed via The Macallan Online Boutique. However, a complimentary gift message can be added to all online orders which is printed onto a Macallan gift card with a 200-character limit.&nbsp;

Is there an option to include a gift box with my order? 

If you are looking to purchase larger quantities of our product, we can only suggest that you contact our distribution partners within your location.&nbsp;

Can I purchase large/bulk orders directly from The Macallan? 

Gift Wrapping and Messages

The following single malts are available for complimentary gift wrapping from The Macallan:&nbsp;The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old&nbsp;The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old&nbsp;The Macallan Double Cask 18 Years Old&nbsp;The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old&nbsp;The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old&nbsp;The Macallan Harmony Collections&nbsp;&nbsp;The Macallan Classic Cut Editions&nbsp;&nbsp;The Macallan invites you to select the Gift Wrapping option during the checkout process for this to be added. All single malts within the order that qualify from the above list will be gift wrapped before sending.&nbsp;

What products can I have gift wrapped? 

If you choose to have your order gift wrapped, all qualifying single malts will be wrapped in exclusive The Macallan wrapping paper, sealed with a ‘M’ logo sticker.&nbsp;&nbsp;In the box will also be a complimentary bottle gift bag, personalised gift message card and envelope. The bottle gift bag will be placed on the bottom of the shipping box under the base of our transit packaging.&nbsp;

What is included in gift wrapping from The Macallan? 

Orders from The Macallan online boutique are eligible for one complimentary, personalised gift card message.&nbsp;To add this onto your order, select ‘Add Gift Message’ during checkout process and add your gift message. The gift message allows up to 200-characters of the Latin alphabet, numbers and punctuation. It is not possible to use symbols or emojis in your message.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please be informed we do not permit gift messaging that could be seen as offensive or obscene. Should your gift message be deemed unacceptable, we will contact you for the opportunity to provide an alternative message.&nbsp;

Can I add a gift message to my order? 

You can choose to have the order sent to yourself to gift in person, or sent directly to the recipient’s address. Only one address can be specified for delivery.&nbsp;Gift wrapping from The Macallan can be added to orders being sent to: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK and the Channel Islands. &nbsp;

Can I send gifts to different addresses? 

Orders being sent to one of the following countries are eligible for complimentary gift wrapping from The Macallan. Please select the Add Gift Message and Gift Wrapping option during the checkout process for this to be added to qualifying single malts.&nbsp;Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, the UK and the Channel Islands. &nbsp;
