DEDICATION TO CRAFTSMANSHIP
The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell set out on a journey of discovery to explore where the worlds of The Macallan and Bentley meet. She looked at how the masters worked, uncovering their story and creative process and in doing so, saw first-hand their passion for creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.
The Macallan and Bentley Motors share this passion, consistently pushing the boundaries in their respective craft. The vision for The Macallan Horizon was to reuse materials in a beautiful way, to create something truly exceptional that has never been seen before.
A REMARKABLE DESIGN
When The Macallan and Bentley Motors began to work on this collaboration, the objective was to produce something never seen before in whisky bottle design, as well as something that reflected our shared commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and innovation. At the heart of the design is a hand-crafted glass bottle with a remarkable 180-degree twist. The vessel is then enclosed with a complexly twisted 3D construction, elegantly crafted from sustainable materials.
A VISION OF SUSTAINABILITY
The Macallan and Bentley Motors share a long-term vision of a more sustainable future, as well as a commitment to innovation and quality. Sustainable materials that are integral to both The Macallan and Bentley Motors have been used collaboratively in the creation of this fine release, representing the next step in a partnership founded in sustainability.
SIX KEY MATERIALS
The Macallan Horizon is crafted using recycled copper from The Macallan's former Distillery's curiously small spirit stills; aluminium recovered from the Bentley Motors manufacturing process; recycled wood; recyclable glass and the world's lowest CO2 leather, sourced locally in Scotland and used in the exclusive Bentley Mulliner Batur grand tourer. These materials tell our stories and vision for the future while paying homage to our Six Pillars, the foundation stones for the character of The Macallan.
