Nature Culture
The Macallan House Singapore’s design is inspired from The Macallan Estate and the creative expression of “Nature Culture”, weaving together a multi-sensory tapestry across its expansive 3,000-square-foot experiential retail space.
Within the multi-sensorial space of The Macallan House Singapore, distinct zones beckon visitors on a journey through the enchanting realm of nature. The cultural facet of this artistic interpretation finds expression through a compelling collaboration with Tiffany Loy, a Singaporean Textile Artist whose work takes inspiration from the natural colours of our exceptional single malts.
Natural Colour by Tiffany Loy
“Natural Colour by Tiffany Loy” represents The Macallan’s commitment towards Natural Colour. Inspired by the amber hue of our whisky, Tiffany’s artwork has been hand woven using silk and wool to create the wall mural, while taking on a deeper appreciation and understanding of The Macallan Whisky.
"The Macallan has these incredible hues weaved into its story. Infused by time and coloured by nature, the interaction between cask and spirit creates something extraordinary."

Meet Tiffany Loy
Tiffany was a talented artist from the outset of her career and graduated from the Royal College of Art, with an MA in Textiles, specialising in weaving. She is also a recipient of the Design Singapore Scholarship.
Since founding her own eponymous studio in 2014, Tiffany’s experimental works have been exhibited around the world.
Tiffany's background and inspiration
Tiffany's background in product and textile design has led to her unique approach in creating materials with minute details, while keeping in mind their overall impact in the larger, spatial context.
In her designs, she often refers back to time-honoured techniques and explores ways to re-frame them in contemporary context. Examining the relationships between material, people, and culture, she hopes to spark relevant discourse and new sensibilities for the future.
In collaboration with The Macallan, Tiffany has created a bespoke mural using a weaving technique which captures The Macallan’s commitment to natural colour. Using tones from light oak to dark mahogany, she captures the colour of The Macallan’s incomparable single malt whiskies, 100% natural, derived from maturation in its exceptional oak casks.
"When I start working on a piece, I first think about the story I want to tell, and the emotions it will transmit when you see it and touch it."
