Distil Your World Hong Kong Whisky Story

Hong Kong is constantly reinventing itself.

This spirit of constant renewal is evident in its vibrant culture, thriving economy and dynamic cityscape. It is a city that represents the spirit of its people with its entrepreneurship, tenacity and resilience, one that has reimagined its public spaces so its inhabitants can enjoy them. A place where nature and human beings are inspiring each other, growing together and shaping a unique architecture.

Euan Kennedy, The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker, and Joan Roca, one-third of the acclaimed owners of El Celler de Can Roca —twice named Best Restaurant in the World—embark on a sensorial odyssey through a city where the fusion of 'east meets west' and the coexistence of tradition and modernity define its essence.

Their deep dive into the heartbeat of this ever-evolving metropolis sparks the genesis of a truly exceptional whisky and a culinary adventure.

    The Whisky

Distil Your World Hong Kong is the encapsulation of a unique city in a finely crafted single malt.

It is a symphony of flavours, with rich intensity from ginger, spice and antique oak, balanced by the tropical vibrancy of mango and grapefruit. Each layer contributes to a rich and multifaceted experience that mirrors the city's dynamic nature.

The menu embodies the ceaseless metamorphosis and entrepreneurial spirit of a city that continually redefines itself.

In their creations, they artfully mirror the urban landscape of Hong Kong: the towering skyscrapers, the resolute strength, the vibrant hues, and the pulsating energy—all manifest in every meticulously crafted course.

    Arthur Li

The co-founder of Coutou Wood Research Institute explores the relationship between the community and wood art, thinking about the possibility of social change that hands can bring, and hopes that through the establishment of a platform, people will pay attention to tree resources and see the beauty of craftsmanship. Since 2017, he has worked with local schools and non-governmental organisations, such as The Hong Kong Federation Youth Group and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, creating woodwork programmes that pass on the skills of this craft, teaching others to treasure this neglected resource. He uses craftsmanship as a way to give back to the community and as a tool to create a better future.
