The story of the latest Harmony Collection is intrinsically linked to Spirit, a story of The Macallan brought to life through an incredible experience imagined by Cirque du Soleil. It speaks to the history of The Macallan, Scottish culture and the Highlands.
The story of Spirit culminates in a shared experience centred around the oak tree which symbolises strength and endurance and the importance of natural elements. From the experience, we introduce the latest Harmony collection, which comprises two products, Vibrant Oak and travel exclusive Guardian Oak.
Our History
The colour red has deep and long-standing significance for The Macallan. The red thread begins with Alexander Reid, who founded The Macallan in 1824. His surname means ‘the red one’ in Scots and was originally associated with red hair. Almost a century later, in 1903, the owner of The Macallan, Roderick Kemp, launched The Macallan Choice Old range. It was reportedly shipped in cases labelled with distinctive red print to distinguish it from The Macallan’s existing whiskies, which were transported in packaging featuring black ink.
Our Collaboration
In perfect harmony, The Macallan and Cirque du Soleil combine their crafts to present the fourth release of the Harmony Collection in an imaginative, visual and innovative way. Two brands dedicated to constant innovation, this collaboration is inspired by a shared respect for creativity and reverence for the natural world.
The creative intent behind this exquisite design by Cirque du Soleil is to evoke a sense of wonder and reverence, emphasising the need to reconnect with nature and protect our natural landscapes.
