The Macallan Horizon is an expertly crafted single malt whisky, presented in a visionary horizontal vessel, encapsulating the rich heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors and our shared vision for the future. A fusion of traditional craftsmanship and cutting edge technology, the vessel’s twist motif symbolises our extraordinary journey as we travel to the future.
The Macallan Horizon has been our most ambitious product design yet; something that could be born only as the result of our collaboration with Bentley Motors.
Exceptional Craftsmanship
Created in collaboration with Bentley Motors, The Macallan Horizon's horizontal vessel defies traditional vertical whisky bottle aesthetics. Inspired by the horizontal trajectory of the automotive world, this vessel represents craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, paying homage to the rich heritage of both The Macallan and Bentley Motors while embracing a forward-looking vision for the future.
Bottled at 46.6% as a nod to six exceptional European oak casks and six materials integral to The Macallan and Bentley – whisky, wood, copper, aluminium, leather and glass - and Six Pillars. The Macallan Horizon is a testament to the unparalleled craftsmanship and shared dedication to excellence that defines our collaboration.
Bold and Sophisticated
The six, first fill, oak Butts were each expertly selected for their unique contribution and in combination exuded the right balance to create a bold and sophisticated single malt whisky.
Exceptional Depth
On the nose and palate, rich and indulgent dried fruit and spice balanced with oak and leather aromas, all abundant in Bentley’s world. The finish is long and complex; rich oak reflects the feeling of timeless quality when driving a Bentley. A dark mahogany hue of exceptional depth.
Complex and Unique
The whisky makers require complete flexibility to choose the absolute right casks based on quality and flavour and therefore are not constrained or defined by age in crafting this whisky. The expertise of the whisky maker enables the selection of the combination of the right casks to achieve a complex and unique flavour and character. For this reason, it does not carry an age statement.

The Whisky
The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell sought to capture the essence of a Bentley motorcar through the creation of a sophisticated and bold single malt whisky that embodies the rich heritage of both brands. Kirsteen painstakingly selected six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks that exuded the right intensity of flavour, texture and natural colour to reflect the extraordinary meeting of The Macallan’s signature style with Bentley’s timeless quality and design.
The Macallan’s renowned rich and indulgent dried fruit and spice flavour notes are beautifully balanced with oak and leather, aromas abundant in Bentley’s world.
The whisky’s rich and long-lasting finish mirrors the car’s timeless quality and design.

The Materials
In homage to The Macallan’s Six Pillars, The Macallan Horizon is comprised of six materials integral to The Macallan and Bentley Motors. From the rich, bold character of our single malt whisky to the precision-engineered copper frame forged from recycled copper, each material tells a story of excellence and innovation.
The oak inlay, sourced from one of the six casks used in maturation, symbolises our commitment to quality craftsmanship, while Bentley's Crown Cut Walnut veneer adds a touch of refinement, a specification meticulously developed for Bentley cars.
A true Testament
The aluminium ribbon, a nod to the strength and versatility of aluminium in Bentley engineering, elegantly envelops the glass vessel, while the finest low carbon leather, in a chestnut hue, ensures protection and sophistication. Together, these materials form The Macallan Horizon, a true testament to the legacy and shared values of both brands.

United by a shared dedication to craftsmanship, creativity and innovation, The Macallan and Bentley Motors have collaborated to design and craft The Macallan Horizon. Through this partnership we sought to pay homage to our Six Pillars, the foundation stones that underpin the renowned quality and rich character of our whisky. The product is comprised of six unique materials which are integral to both The Macallan and Bentley Motors.
Designed with a collective of specialist suppliers, using highly skilled artisanal and precision engineering techniques, our commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and innovation allowed us to challenge each other and push the boundaries and art of the possible.
