En 1926, el barril de jerez nº 263 se llenó con aguardiente Macallan recién hecho en Speyside, Escocia. Sesenta años más tarde, en 1986, el Equipo de Maestría del Whisky Macallan decidió que esta barrica en particular había madurado lo suficiente y dividió su precioso contenido en sólo 40 botellas.
