"This is a deeply personal whisky, inspired by my time with Joan Roca exploring Hong Kong. It is big and bold. I wanted to develop the idea of structure in this whisky, reflective of the building environment rising from the sea to the green peaks behind. To create contrast within this whisky, in the same way Hong Kong is a city of contrast. A whisky with many layers, to be returned to again and again to find more stories to tell, its incredible complexity transporting you on a journey of flavour and memory."

El envase refleja la exploración de Londres y la esencia capturada en su interior. El diseño del envase exterior presenta un mapa a escala real de la ciudad que comprende el icónico triángulo de Mac
allan.
En el interior de la caja, la botella de whisky representa la esencia de Londres y está rodeada por un exclusivo mapa curvo tridimensional de Londres. El rojo representa los ladrillos emblemáticos de las casas históricas de Londres. En un cajón del interior de la caja hay un libro de fotografías que documenta el viaje.
The Art
The vibrant royal blue was chosen as it reflects the blue waters that surround Hong Kong. The beautifully detailed art print by Flyingpig includes elements of nature and community spirit, values which are instilled within The Macallan.
Pat WingShan Wong (aka Flyingpig) is the assistant professor in the Academy of Visual Art, Hong Kong Baptist University (BUAVA). Her practice lies in the intersections of architecture, technology, memory and identity that portray community stories ranging from people to landscapes and objects from her surroundings.
