Die Colour Collection 18 Years Old bietet einen Whisky, der in Fässern aus amerikanischer Eiche gereift ist und mit einem zarten Hauch europäischer Eiche verfeinert wird.
Die Kollektion ist eine Hommage an unsere Sherry-Reise, die in unseren Weinbergen in Jerez beginnt. Der Sherrywein, den wir als Würze in unseren außergewöhnlichen Eichenfässern verwenden, und das Spektrum der natürlichen Farbe, das sich aus der Interaktion mit der Sherry-gewürzten Eiche ergibt.
Mit Aromen von süßer Eiche, Wabe und Clementine ist die Colour Collection 18 Years Old eine natürliche, kastanienbraune Farbe - das Ergebnis unseres New Make-Geistes und unserer außergewöhnlichen Eichenfässer, die im Laufe der Jahre harmonisch zusammengearbeitet haben.
Die neu interpretierten Ausdrücke der The Macallan Colour Collection werden ab Anfang 2026 an wichtigen Reisezielen erhältlich sein.

The Macallan Colour Collection character is led by sherry seasoned American oak casks. It comprises 12, 15, 18, 21 and 30 Years Old expressions that boast a fresh and vibrant flavour profile.
In this Collection we focus on the city and culture of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, Spain where our sherry journey begins in the vineyards that mark the provenance of the sherry we use as seasoner in our exceptional oak casks. The terroir - albariza soil of the vineyards, the sun, the grapes and the streets of Jerez together inspire the design and artworks.
The Macallan reimagined is seen through the lens of artistic translator, David Carson, and celebrates the journey of our sherry seasoned oak casks.
DIE FARBEN VON JEREZ
Der 18 Years Old hat einen einladenden, hellen kastanienbraunen Farbton: eine natürliche Farbe, die sich in fast zwei Jahrzehnten entwickelt hat, in denen der Whisky mit den Sherryfässern aus Eichenfässern interagiert. Inspiriert von der klassischen Farblandschaft von Jerez ergänzen die Packfarben, eine zarte Metapher für die Balance zwischen amerikanischer und europäischer Eiche, den Whisky-Ton.
Der 18 Years Old zeigt einen auffälligen Orangeton, der als "Teja" (Fliese auf Spanisch) bekannt ist: ein mediterranes erdiges Orange mit einem Hauch von Braun und Rot, vor einem Albariza-Hintergrund mit kräftigen Teja-Akzenten und reichhaltigen Texturen. Es erinnert an die untergehende Mittelmeersonne, die die hellen Weinberge von Jerez durchnässt. Oben befinden sich verschiedene Schichten der Flasche und ihres Etiketts.
Weiße Pinselstriche überziehen das minimalistische Packungsmuster und das The Macallan-Rot, eine subtile Anspielung auf den Charakter der amerikanischen Eiche. Der Name der Kollektion befindet sich auf einem auffälligen orangefarbenen Hintergrund, der an die untergehende Sonne erinnert.

We have partnered with David Carson across The Macallan Timeless Collections. We asked him to go beyond the world of digital design and work with his hands again, using paper, paint and elements from nature, making each art piece unique and unrepeatable. His unconventional and incomparable style characterised by freedom spreads, overlapping photos, mixed and altered fonts and a total rejection of the grid brought him worldwide acclaim and transformed the design industry forever. He remains to this day resolutely grid free, unrivalled in his creativity and devoted to his craft.

Die Macallan Colour Collection 18 Years Old ist ein Whisky mit einem einladenden, leichten Kastanienbraunton: eine natürliche Farbe, die in fast zwei Jahrzehnten entwickelt wurde, in denen der Whisky mit seinem Sherry Seasoned Eichenfass interagierte. The Macallan’s exceptional European and American oak casks spend time in our Spanish bodegas during which time they are filled with sherry wine to season them.
Over the coming months, sherry wine gently rests within the exceptional oak casks. These sherry seasoned oak casks are then emptied, and transported to our Distillery here in Speyside, Scotland. Upon arrival at The Macallan Estate, these exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks are filled with our robust and fruity new make spirit.
Over years our whiskies will mature, drawing aromas, flavour and natural colour from these sherry seasoned oak casks. An exceptional story of sherry and wood.
