Part of The Macallan M Collection Series created to showcase the beautiful range of The Macallan’s Natural Colour, M is born of a collaboration between three masters of their crafts to create a completely individual spirit.

M ist das emblematische Resultat der beispiellosen Zusammenarbeit dreier Meister ihrer jeweiligen Künste, die dasselbe Ziel verfolgten – die Schaffung des raffiniertesten Whiskys der Welt in einem exquisiten und exklusiv dafür gestalteten Dekanter aus Kristallglas. M ist ein gestalterisches Meisterwerk, das vom Kreativdirektor und legendären Designer Fabien Baron konzipiert, von der meisterhaften Glasverarbeitungskunst von Lalique verwirklicht und von The Macallan mit einem konkreten Zweck versehen wurde.
Jeder von Hand gefertigte M-Dekanter wird aus hochwertigstem Kristallglas hergestellt und verbindet bewährte Tradition mit Originalität. Dabei konnte bei seiner finessenreichen Gestaltung und makellosen Klarheit auf über 150 Jahre meisterhafte Verarbeitung und Hingabe von Lalique zurückgegriffen werden. Seine sechs prägnanten Schleifflächen sind Barons Hommage an die sechs Grundpfeiler von The Macallan („The Six Pillars“). Sie reflektieren unsere tief verwurzelten Traditionen inmitten der einmaligen Ästhetik des Dekanters und natürlich die lebhaften natürlichen Farben des Whiskys. Aus einigen der reichhaltigsten und seltensten Fässer, die in der Brennerei reifen, entsteht ein komplexer und intensiver Whisky. M hat eine kräftige Rosenholzfarbe, die von den mit Sherry präparierten spanischen Eichenfässern stammt, die diesen speziellen Whisky während seines Reifungsprozesses genährt haben. Zudem verfügt er über eine Komplexität und Intensität, wie sie bei einem Single Malt nur in den seltensten Fällen zu finden sind.

Our reputation for the extraordinary is characterised by the exceptional oak casks for which The Macallan is renowned. Sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of the Master of Wood, the hand-picked casks are delivered to the demanding specifications of the Whisky Mastery Team. It is the oak that makes the greatest contribution to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours at the heart of this single malt whisky.
Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for the necessary number of years it needs to be worthy of its destined Macallan expression.
