This expression, released annually, is an impeccably balanced, distinctive single malt with a sweeter character due to the influence of sherry seasoned European and American oak maturation.
Each cask selected in this expression has spent its entire maturation period of almost two decades exclusively in sherry seasoned oak casks.

Stories Behind the Artwork
Once our casks are approved, they travel to our sherry bodegas, where grapes grow in the albariza soil of Jerez. Once in the bodegas, the casks are filled with a variety of dry sherry and left to rest and season. This is a fundamental period where the essence of Jerez wine, sherry, meets oak, with the wood absorbing the sweet wine and resulting in remarkable flavours.
During maturation, The Macallan new make spirit mingles with the sherry seasoned oak to deliver its unique and exceptional character.
