La couleur rouge distinctive traverse notre histoire, depuis le nom de notre fondateur, Alexander Reid—littéralement "The Red" (Le Rouge), jusqu’à la gamme ‘Choice Old’ de The Macallan, lancée il y a plus d’un siècle en 1903, et aux bouteilles millésimées marquées d’un ruban rouge par Allan Shiach dans les années 1980.

PATIENT MATURATION
The Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, presents a peerless single malt whisky that has slowly matured over four extraordinary decades under the watchful eye of generations of whisky makers, until it has reached this perfect moment of maturation. The ‘new make’ spirit from The Macallan’s small copper stills was laid down in hand-picked oak casks and left to mature for forty years.
During these decades of slumber, the carefully selected wood shaped the unique character of the whisky delivering the natural colour, distinctive aromas and full flavours of this aged single malt.

The oak presentation box is crafted by hand in the UK, using the same sustainable European oak we use to make our casks. The box has been beautifully upholstered with sustainably sourced, soft scottish leather from our renowned partners, Bridge of Weir Leather.
